Melody-Jane Faulkner (Florence) trained at The Arts Educational Schools London for five years, where she studied all forms of dance, drama and music. Her work ranges from opera, operetta and the lyric world of Gilbert and Sullivan to contemporary music theatre and jazz. Operatic engagements include most recently, a year and a half with The Carl Rosa Opera performing small roles and ensemble work all over the British Isles and also involved a 15 week tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2001 and she has recently returned from their 2004 tour of the US.Operatic roles include Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro), Papagena (The Magic Flute), both for Kentish Opera. Valencienne (The Merry Widow), Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Bessie Throckmorten (Merrie England). Music Theatre roles include Sally Smith (Me and My Girl) and Maria and Liesel (The Sound of Music). She has made several recordings for Island Records and her television work includes incidental music for Channel 4's Without Walls documentary series and a live appearance on Under The Moon. Melody-Jane has recently returned from two years in Milan, Italy where she continued her vocal studies and is delighted to be back on the London Stage.
