Kevin Stuart (Frederick Trumper) began his musical career as a singer/songwriter fronting various bands in the 80’s, about the same time as the musical Chess was being written. At the end of that decade he got a proper job and turned his attention to Musical Theatre and has performed a number of roles for Societies throughout the South East, most notably The Opera Club of Reigate and Redhill with whom he played this role, in their production at the Harlequin Theatre, last November. He has played most of the G & S tenor leads and some of the comic baritone roles. Other favourite roles to date have been Billy (Carousel), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus) and Higgins (My Fair Lady). He studied singing with Susan Gray, Angela Barker and Ted Darling. When not performing in shows he is part of the successful cabaret group Quintessence and most recently the Keyboard player for The Phil Collins Tribute Band No Jacket Required with whom he regularly tours theatres throughout the UK. One of the highlights of his performing career was to perform on stage in Oliver with his wife and daughter at Polesden Lacey for the National Trust.
