Mrs James Warburton Martinez Cardeza (Charlotte Wardle Drake), 58, from Germantown, PA, boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg with her son Thomas and her maid Anna Ward. She had the most expensive ticket (£512) and occupied suites B51/B53/B55. Her entourage brought with them fourteen trunks, four suitcases and three crates of baggage. She would later file a detailed claim to the value of £36,567 2s for their loss. She was rescued in Lifeboat 3 together with her son and serants. She died 1st August 1939 and was buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania
