Kevin Gauntlett (Directoer and Bruce Isamay) has been involved with WWOS and the Churchill Theatre for as long as he can remember. He appeared in the first amateur production at the theatre, in the children’s chorus in Carmen for Kentish Opera, and then graduated to the Drummer boy in WWOS’ first production here (The Gondoliers) in 1978. Since then he has risen through the ranks to appear in many principal roles, favourites including the title role in Pickwick -twice, Fagin (Oliver!), Alfred P Doolittle (My Fair Lady) and Tevye (Fiddler On The Roof). He has directed 11 productions for WWOS include Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, Mack & Mabel, Annie and, most taxing to date, Chess. Kevin is also the Director/Chairman and mastermind behind the society’s (in)famous Olde Tyme Music Halls - once seen, never forgotten - which last year only was transformed into VE60 Variety Music Halls Future plans include directing The Witches of Eastwick which WWOS will present in June 2007.
