Nathaniel Hook (Frederick Barrett) has been performing in musical theatre for as long as he can remember having earlier trained for a number of years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama in Glasgow and performing in a number of student operas, including Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Donizetti’s L’Assedio di Calais. He has since taken on a number of leading roles over the years, including Frederick (The Pirates of Penzance), Ralph (H.M.S. Pinafore) and Luiz (The Gondoliers). Outside of Gilbert & Sullivan, he has played the role of Danny Gilmartin (Calamity Jane) as well as performing in a number of Broadway medleys involving songs from Les Miserables, Chess, Miss Saigon, Cats, Brigadoon and The Phantom of the Opera amongst others. Outside of Musical Theatre, he has sung with various choirs including both the BBC and London Symphony choruses. In his professional life, Nat works in the field of Executive Search and is currently employed in the Life Sciences Practice of the UK’s largest headhunting firm.  This is his first show with WWOS.
