Alison Shaw (DiMarco sister) started her career in amateur dramatics 20 years ago with Ravensbourne Light Operatic Society, having been plucked from a local dancing school, as one of the ‘dancing lovelies’, however she admits that this is now probably stretching a point! She has had the privilege of dancing in a wide variety of shows from Carousel to Cabaret, her absolute favourite role being Anytime Annie (42nd Street). Other roles here at the Churchill Theatre have included Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), Lily St Regis (Annie), Rosalia (West Side Story) and Liat (South Pacific). Her tenuous claim to fame must be that she played opposite Nigel Harman - Dennis of EastEnders - in Annie Get your Gun. She has also choreographed a number of shows here at the Churchill including Singing in the Rain and South Pacific. This is Alison's second show with WWOS having played Isabel (The Pirates of Penzance - Broadway Version) last November.
