John Heather (Joseph Boxhall) started (and ended) his singing career in Beckenham Recreation Ground during the war - WW2, not WW1! - with a rendition of "Maisie Dotes". Latterly he has had minor (very) roles with WWOS, especially enjoying the open air productions of Pickwick at the Minack Theatre and The Yeomen of the Guard at Normanhurst. John's main theatrical activities have been with Theatre 62, which he joined on its founding in 1962, and he assisted with the formation of Wickham Theatre Centre at Corkscrew Hill in 1972.
